   Q. What does the name ‘KIDMIA’ stand for?
   A. In English KIDMIA stands for “Kids Are Our Most Important Assets”
       In Amharic, the Ethiopian language Kidmia means “PRIORITY”
 
   Q. When was KIDMIA founded?
   A. KIDMIA was founded in 1999.
 
   Q. Who were  KIDMIA’s founders?
   A.  KIDMIA’s founders were a group of Ethiopian parents in Arlington Texas.
 
   Q. Who was the visionary who came up with the idea of KIDMIA?
   A. The visionary of KIDMIA was Alefnew Desta who is still an active member with his family.    
      
   Q. What is KIDMIA’s current location?
   A. KIDMIA’s current location is in Irving Texas however KIDMIA is open to the entire DFW metroplex.
 
   Q. How many members do you currently have?
   A. We currently have around 50 members but some of them are not active this year.  
 
   Q. How many students do you currently have?
   A. We have 23 students for the 2007-2008 school year.
 
   Q. How many families participate in KIDMIA?
   A. We have 16 active families at this time.
 
   Q. Who are the teachers of KIDMIA?
   A. KIDMIA is an organization that is run by the parents. So all the teachers of KIDMIA
       are the Parents or care takers of the students.  In general all parents have to be active
       in KIDMIA and involved in all aspects of the organization.
 
   Q. Are there any other KIDMIA chapters in other states?
   A. No, at this time there is only one KIDMIA chapter operating in U.S.   
       and it is currently located in Arlington Texas.
 
   Q. Do you have teaching material you can send?
   A. No.  At this time we do not have any formal teaching material we can send. 
        We  develop the material for our consumption purposes. That is something we are considering to do in the future.  
 
   Q. How do I join KIDMIA?
   A. You can join KIDMIA by contacting one of the Board Members and filling out an
       application. We follow the Texas school district calendar so we accept new students
       in September. There are several considerations taken before the acceptance of the
       application. Some of them are capacity of class size and Parent availability to work        
       in KIDMIA. One thing KIDMIA is not is a DAYCARE.  Parents can not just drop
       the kids and leave. At least one parent needs to be available to teach or serve at some   
       capacity within the organization while their child is attending class.
 
   Q. When do classes meet at KIDMIA?
   A. KIDMIA classes meet on Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
 
   Q. Where are classes held at KIDMIA?
   A. in a Sunday school setting of a church.
 
   Q. How can I purchase CDs /T-shirts created by KIDMIA?
   A. You can purchase via our website or by contacting us directly using our email (info@kidmia.com) 
 
   Q. How can I make contributions to KIDMIA?
   A. KIDMIA is a non-profit organization with the status of Tax exempt still pending therefore we will not be able
       to give you receipt that you can use for tax purpose however if you wish to contribute anyway please send us an 
       e-mail and will get you in touch with our Finance department.

A. Kidmia teaches Amarigna writing, reading, and Ethiopian culture studies.

A. Kidmia accepted students ages from …2yrs… to …13yrs……
 
Q. What grade levels do you offer?
A. Currently Kidmia offers classes from Level I to Level……
 
Q. When does the school year start and end?
A. School starts in September and end in May.
 
Q. What is the class size?
A. Class size is limited to 6-7 students per teacher.
 
Q. Is there a tuition fee?
A. No.  Kidmia has membership dues.
 
Q. How much is the dues?
A. Membership dues are…$93.00… quarterly…. Per family.
 
Q. Do you provide snacks?
A. No., Each parent will be assigned to bring snacks.
 
Q.  Does my child need to speak Amarigna to be enrolled?
A.   No.  ………………. 
 
 Q.  How is student assigned to a class?
 A.  Student will be evaluated and assigned to specific class level by Education Committee.
